A MANUAL OF YACHT AND BOAT SAILING
by Dixon Kemp, A.I.N.A.
Dixon Kemp was the "guru" of yachting in the latter part of the nineteenth century in England. His work was very highly regarded and deeply respected. His Manual of Yacht and Boat Sailing is a comprehensive work, similar in some regard to Kunhardt's Small Yachts: Their Design and Construction in this country. Our edition reprints the 1878 edition and includes a great many illustrations as well as over a hundred full-page plates of designs from the period. Our edition is sized to elephant folio (approximaely 11" X 17") to better reproduce the large plates and contains two editions: The First edition and The Eighth edition. Chapters from the First Edition which were sadly eliminated from the later editions are reinstated as is the enormous and wonderful Appendix which contains the splendid Dictionary of General Information, which is a combination glossary, index, dictionary and boat building text.
